(Photo by Cheewin Sattha)CHIANG MAI: About 200 police raided the Night Bazaar market in Muang district late Wednesday night and seized about 27,000 pirated products with an estimated combined market value of 30 million baht. Seized products bearing luxury brandnames included shirts, trousers, bags, belts and eyeglasses that had normally been displayed without any concern at the Night Bazaar. Directing the raid, Pol Maj Gen Surachate Hakparn, deputy chief of tourist police, said investigagtors would also track down producers, smugglers and online and offline sellers of the pirated products. Police arrested 12 people for possession of the pirated products.
